Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will oversee key accounting functions, including month-end close processes and internal controls, while ensuring compliance with established standards. Job Responsibility

  • Manage all aspects of the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering attention to detail and ensuring high-performance standards
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment of transactions and resolve financial discrepancies
  • Prepare detailed schedules and documentation to support annual and quarterly audits, working closely with auditors to address inquiries
  • Identify and implement improvements to internal processes, enhancing financial accuracy and operational efficiency
  • Partner with operational teams to ensure proper financial reporting and alignment with organizational goals
  • Manage assigned accounting areas and processes, ensuring quality and consistency
  • Assist with special projects and additional tasks as needed to support the accounting department

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
  • A minimum of 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting-related software is essential
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with audit procedures and requirements, including internal and external audits
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion systems is a plus
  • Certification in accounting is preferred
