We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Shelby, North Carolina. This role involves managing critical accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with a keen eye for detail to optimize financial reporting and compliance.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and execute month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure proper financial reporting
Prepare and post journal entries, verifying all transactions meet accounting standards
Conduct account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between financial statements and bank records
Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
Monitor compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Assist in preparing detailed financial reports and analyses
Provide recommendations to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency
Support audits by supplying accurate documentation and responding to inquiries

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close and general ledger management
Strong understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software and tools
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Solid knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
