Our well-established client is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team in Franklin, Tennessee. This long-term contract position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute your expertise in accounting while working in a logistics-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of general ledger accounting and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and post accurate journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial records
Manage lease accounting and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Oversee fixed assets accounting, including tracking and reconciliation
Handle payroll accounting processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
Coordinate and confirm intercompany transactions across multiple entities
Provide support for year-end accounting tasks and audits
Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts
Analyze variances and prepare detailed reports to support financial decision-making
Manage accruals, including expense accruals, accrued accounts payable, and bonus accruals
Utilize D365 software effectively to streamline accounting processes and maintain accuracy

Requirements:

Proven experience in month-end close procedures and general ledger management
Proficiency in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations
Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and intercompany accounting
Ability to handle accruals and expense tracking with precision
Familiarity with year-end close processes and related documentation
Experience using D365 or similar accounting software
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities to collaborate effectively across teams
