Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Sarasota, Florida. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills to oversee financial processes and ensure accuracy in reporting. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting and a proven ability to handle complex financial tasks.

Job Responsibility:

Manage month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion
Oversee the general ledger, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
Prepare and post journal entries to support financial reporting processes
Conduct account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Handle bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded
Assist with financial reporting, providing insights and analysis as needed
Monitor compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports

Requirements:

5+ years of accounting experience with a focus on detail-oriented work
Proficiency in month-end close procedures and general ledger management
Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation
Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting
Experience in construction industry
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
