Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. This role requires an experienced individual with a strong background in accounting practices, payroll management, and financial reporting. You will play a key role in overseeing daily accounting functions while contributing to the financial health and operational success of our organization.

Job Responsibility:

Manage general ledger activities, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
Oversee payroll processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and timely payment
Lead month-end and year-end close procedures, preparing necessary documentation and reports
Collaborate with external accountants to support tax preparation and filing
Supervise and guide an accounts payable assistant and payroll staff, fostering a productive team environment
Perform cost accounting tasks to analyze and manage costs effectively
Monitor and manage inventory accounting, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting
Assist with HR-related duties, including onboarding and benefits administration as needed

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related fields
Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management
Strong skills in journal entries and account reconciliation
Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting
Familiarity with cost accounting practices
Background in manufacturing accounting is highly desirable
Excellent organizational and supervisory skills
Ability to work collaboratively with external accountants and internal teams
