Our client, a leader in the property management sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their high-performing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a financial professional who excels in a dynamic environment and wants to play a key role in managing and optimizing the financial performance of a diversified property portfolio.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and execute monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations for multiple properties
Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses for property operations
Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, coordinating with property managers and external vendors
Support internal and external audits, including preparation of relevant schedules and documentation
Identify and implement process improvements to drive operational efficiency
Work with property management software and accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Yardi, MRI, Microsoft D365, or similar systems

Requirements:

3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in property management or real estate accounting
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA certification is a plus
Advanced proficiency with Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Yardi, MRI, Microsoft D365, etc.)
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Knowledge of GAAP and property management regulations preferred

Nice to have:

CPA certification is a plus
