Job Description:

My client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team, which is in the non-profit industry. This opportunity will be in the heart of Washington, DC and the role will be operated on a hybrid schedule. The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant role will have non-profit experience and be responsible for maintaining the general ledger accounts, reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable, assisting with month end close, posting journal entries and assisting with other ad hoc projects. This non-profit organization offers health coverage, great benefits and opportunities for growth.

Job Responsibility:

Perform month-end close
General ledger maintenance
Reconcile AP and AR accounts
Prepare financial statements
Research and maintaining compliance US GAAP

Requirements:

3+ years of accounting experience
Understanding of US GAAP
Non-profit experience, a plus
Experienced with Microsoft Excel
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

Nice to have:

Non-profit experience
