Jamie Benway with Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Vancouver, Washington. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in month-end closing processes and a commitment to excellence.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and oversee month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses
Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and enhance operational efficiency
Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review
Monitor and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and resolving inquiries
Identify and implement process improvements to optimize accounting operations
Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting staff who are new to the field as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles
Proven expertise in month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
