The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the full accounting cycle, supporting financial reporting and compliance, and partnering closely with leadership. This role offers strong visibility into the business and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. This role has a clear path to progress into the Accounting Manager role.
Job Responsibility:
Own month-end close (MEC) and full-cycle accounting processes
Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
Perform account reconciliations and variance analysis
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Assist with audits and regulatory examinations
Support statutory reporting and NAIC filings
Work within multi-state insurance accounting requirements
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve accounting processes
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred), Finance, or Business
3-5 years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience with ownership of full-cycle accounting processes
Bilingual in Spanish required
Strong experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable
Experience within Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance or other regulated environments preferred
Exposure to statutory reporting and NAIC standards a plus
Experience supporting audits and regulatory examinations
Familiarity with multi-state operations is a plus
High attention to detail with a strong sense of accountability and consistency
Comfortable working in a small, close-knit, family-style organization
Proactive mindset with an interest in process improvement and automation
Nice to have:
Experience within Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance or other regulated environments preferred
Exposure to statutory reporting and NAIC standards a plus
Familiarity with multi-state operations is a plus
