Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting is seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to provide audit-focused support. This role is intended for someone who can step in with confidence, independently navigate complex workbooks, and provide hands-on oversight.

Job Responsibility:

Step into an audit‑heavy accounting environment and independently review and navigate existing workpapers and schedules
Handle detailed audit questions, follow‑up items, and reconciliations as they arise
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across accounting and audit-related documentation
Serve as a reliable, experienced resource during a critical coverage period
Partner closely with leadership to keep work moving forward while balancing competing priorities

Requirements:

Senior‑level accounting experience
Demonstrated ability to work independently and problem‑solve within complex Excel workbooks
Experience reviewing and overseeing junior staff work
Sound judgment and adaptability—someone who has encountered a range of audit and accounting scenarios
Comfortable stepping into an environment with limited hand‑holding
