Job Description:

Contract-to-Permanent role offering opportunity to work closely with senior leadership including CFO and Controller and contribute to high-level financial operations for an experienced and dynamic Senior Accountant in Raleigh, North Carolina

Job Responsibility:

Collaborate directly with the CFO and Controller to support high-level financial decision-making
Oversee payroll accounting processes
Perform month-end close activities including preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts
Handle account and bank reconciliations
Conduct audits and provide insights based on findings
Utilize construction industry knowledge to manage specialized accounting tasks
Foster positive client relationships through proactive communication
Assist with financial reporting and analysis
Leverage experience in public accounting to enhance operational processes and compliance

Requirements:

Minimum of 5-8 years of accounting experience
2-5 years in auditing
Strong understanding of payroll accounting
Familiarity with construction finance and related accounting practices
Bachelor's degree from a reputable university
Proficiency in month-end close, general ledger management, and journal entries
Experience with account and bank reconciliations
CPA certification or progress toward certification
Excellent communication skills
Outgoing personality to engage effectively with clients and team members
