Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to oversee critical financial processes, including month-end closings, budget preparation, and detailed financial analysis. This role requires expertise in general ledger accounting, double-entry bookkeeping, and proficiency in maintaining financial data accuracy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, advanced Excel capabilities, and exceptional communication skills to present complex financial information clearly.

Job Responsibility:

Lead month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate account balances
Prepare comprehensive annual budgets and forecasts to support organizational planning
Conduct detailed financial analyses, including profit and loss evaluations and key performance indicator reviews
Manage accounting projects to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial data and ensure compliance
Maintain data integrity across all accounting systems and processes
Collaborate with stakeholders to effectively communicate financial concepts and results
Utilize advanced Excel features for data analysis and reporting
Uphold confidentiality and integrity in all financial matters

Requirements:

A minimum of five years of experience in accounting roles, preferably within multi-state or multi-business unit entities
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required
CPA designation or candidacy is strongly preferred
Proven expertise in general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data manipulation
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey financial data effectively

Nice to have:

Experience in public accounting, especially within a personal injury law firm, is a plus
