We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Hickory, North Carolina. This is a long-term contract opportunity that requires expertise in managing financial operations and ensuring accuracy in reporting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional efficiency, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to excel in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and oversee month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger
Conduct reconciliations of accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
Handle fixed asset accounting, including tracking, depreciation, and reporting
Support intercompany consolidations and ensure proper documentation across entities
Assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, maintaining efficiency in transactions
Monitor and manage credit collections to minimize outstanding balances and improve cash flow
Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve accounting processes
Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting as needed to support decision-making
Maintain strong communication with stakeholders to ensure clarity and efficiency in financial operations

Requirements:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management
Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation procedures
Experience with bank reconciliations and fixed asset accounting
Ability to handle intercompany consolidations and credit collections effectively
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication abilities to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders

Nice to have:

Familiarity with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or similar ERP systems is a plus
