Chris Preble is working with a Syracuse client of his in the construction industry that is rapidly growing. This organization has an outstanding reputation in the market and is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career within a highly successful and expanding organization that offers strong long-term advancement potential. The ideal candidate will have accounting experience within the construction industry; however, candidates coming from manufacturing environments will also be strongly considered.

Job Responsibility:

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
Analyze financial results and support management reporting
Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes
Support budgeting, forecasting, and project/job cost analysis
Partner with operations and project management teams on financial matters
Assist with audit preparation and external reporting requirements
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Construction industry experience preferred
manufacturing experience also highly valued
