You’ll work closely with an experienced and supportive Manager, taking ownership of your work for a portfolio of clients and helping them make better financial decisions through accurate reporting, insightful advice, and effective use of cloud accounting technology. As Senior Accountant, you’ll be responsible for delivering a high-quality service across a range of accounting needs, from year-end accounts and management information through to supporting clients with digital solutions and process improvements. Job Responsibility
Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact and building strong working relationships
Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Produce monthly management accounts, reporting packs, and supporting financial information
Prepare and review VAT returns and other compliance work
Support clients with bookkeeping, cloud accounting systems, and improving finance processes
Assist clients with cashflow management, forecasting, and interpreting financial information
Review work completed by junior team members, providing guidance and supporting their development
Deal confidently with client queries and work collaboratively with Managers and Partners to deliver an excellent service
Requirements
AAT qualified with relevant practice experience
working towards their ACCA (or equivalent) or qualified ACCA
previous experience working within an accountancy practice
strong accounts preparation and bookkeeping knowledge
experience managing client relationships and working across a varied portfolio
confident working with cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks Online, and Excel
proactive approach with a genuine interest in helping clients improve their businesses
ability to support and develop junior team members
