This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations and support the growth of a multi-location healthcare practice. The role is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are eager to enhance accounting processes while ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Job Responsibility:

Manage journal entries and maintain the general ledger to ensure financial accuracy
Perform bank reconciliations and oversee daily treasury activities
Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes to deliver timely reports
Handle payroll-related accounting tasks and ensure compliance
Collaborate with the Accounting Director to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
Support ad hoc financial projects and provide operational assistance as needed
Utilize systems such as Sage Intacct and Excel for efficient data management and reporting
Occasionally work weekends during quarter-end close periods to meet deadlines
Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting best practices
Assist in analyzing healthcare revenue cycle data for financial insights

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or multi-entity environments
Proficiency in accounting fundamentals, including month-end close and reconciliations
Familiarity with Sage Intacct and advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP
Experience with healthcare revenue cycle management is highly preferred
Strong ability to multitask and adapt to evolving priorities in a fast-paced setting
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork

Nice to have:

Exposure to process improvement and automation tools is a plus
