We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Millbury, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee daily accounting tasks, including managing the general ledger, reconciling accounts, and handling month-end close processes
Prepare detailed financial statements and reports in alignment with company standards
Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely processing and resolution
Support audit activities by compiling schedules and providing necessary documentation
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses to guide business strategies
Ensure adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement more efficient accounting workflows
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and special initiatives
Utilize accounting software to generate reports and perform in-depth financial analyses
Apply knowledge of inventory and cost accounting when applicable

Requirements:

5+ years of accounting experience (public background ok as well)
Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Related Field
Manufacturing/Inventory/Distribution experience a plus
Interpersonal communication very desired (someone who will call/walk over and not just email)
Some ERP/Accounting system experience required
Clean resume with good tenure
