We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. This is a long-term contract position that requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting practices. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting key accounting functions.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and analyze journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Perform month-end closing procedures to finalize financial data efficiently
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy
Conduct account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies
Manage bank reconciliations to verify and balance financial transactions
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless financial reporting
Provide accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making processes
Monitor and adhere to established accounting policies and procedures
Assist with audits and compliance reviews as needed
Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting functions
Requirements:
Proven experience in month-end closing processes and general ledger maintenance
Strong understanding of journal entries and their impact on financial statements
Expertise in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies
Proficiency in managing bank reconciliations with high accuracy
Solid knowledge of accounting principles and standards
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
