Job Responsibility:
Oversee the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate completion of financial records
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial data integrity
Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments, with precision
Conduct monthly balance sheet account reconciliations to confirm accuracy
Assist in creating financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses
Manage and update the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
Handle sales tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Collaborate on system-related activities and projects to enhance accounting operations
Support the annual financial review and audit process in coordination with external auditors
Contribute to special projects and continuously seek ways to enhance accounting procedures
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting roles, with a focus on general ledger management and financial reporting
Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and preparing journal entries
Strong skills in account and bank reconciliations
Familiarity with fixed asset management and depreciation schedules
Knowledge of sales tax compliance and filings
Experience in preparing financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets
Detail-oriented and capable of identifying opportunities for process improvements
