Requirements

3-5+ years of progressive operational accounting experience, including hands-on work with journal entries, accounts payable review, and fixed asset accounting treatment
Tax Knowledge: Working knowledge of sales and use tax and local tax regulations
Systems & Data Management: Proven track record to handle large datasets and complex documents using Excel (advanced formulas preferred)

Job Responsibility

Complete monthly closings by the 2nd day of each month
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Ensure balances are accurate and supported with proper documentation
Maintain the Company's system of accounts and internal controls pertaining to those accounts and financial transactions
Lead AP day-to-day operation: invoice processing, vendor management, payment execution, resolving inquiries, and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and procedures
Prepare and review of journal entries (accruals, prepaids, adjustments)
Monitor fixed assets: track monthly acquisition, depreciation, and disposal
Maintaining proper accounting treatment
Maintain the business unit’s tax functions including tax administration and filings
Prepare state tax apportionment, monthly state sales and use taxes
