Senior Accountant

• Review and oversee accounting activities and financial reporting for a portfolio of assets managed by third-party teams
• Analyze monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, and variance reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Review journal entries and accounting for capital transactions, asset activity, debt, acquisitions, dispositions, and other complex events
• Partner with property management, operations, and finance teams to support accurate and timely financial reporting
• Lead process improvement initiatives, strengthen controls, and maintain accounting policies and procedures
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests
• Provide guidance and oversight to remote accounting staff and assist leadership with special projects, reporting, and financial analysis

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, investment, or public accounting environments
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and account reconciliation processes
• CPA designation or progress toward certification preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP/accounting systems
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities with experience partnering across teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience developing processes, improving controls, and mentoring junior staff is a plus
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, work independently, and maintain a high level of professionalism
