Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Woodland Hills, California. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone who is detail oriented and has a strong background in accounting processes and financial analysis. You will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Job Responsibility:

Manage month-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial results
Oversee the preparation and posting of journal entries to maintain the general ledger
Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure financial data aligns with supporting documentation
Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of transactions and balances
Review and analyze financial records to identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary data for financial reporting
Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Support audits by preparing documentation and providing necessary information
Assist in streamlining accounting processes and implementing best practices
Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial efficiency and accuracy

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close and general ledger
Strong proficiency in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations
Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively
Strong analytical skills to assess financial data and identify trends
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
