Job Description:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing core financial and accounting operations. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, maintains a strong system of internal controls, and supports budgeting processes to minimize risk and uphold compliance with GAAP or IFRS standards. The Senior Accountant delivers reliable financial insights that inform key business decisions.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain and monitor a comprehensive system of internal controls to mitigate financial risk and ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to verify accuracy and completeness of ledger entries
Lead and manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and necessary adjustments
Provide financial guidance and support to accounting staff to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy
Support the preparation of cash flow and liquidity forecasts for short- and long-term financial planning
Manage and monitor banking transactions and relationships
Conduct financial analysis of costs, expenditures, and accruals to support effective decision-making
Oversee daily financial operations including accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), and fixed asset accounting
Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations and manage all related reporting requirements
Prepare and submit financial reports to federal and state entities as required

Requirements:

Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting or Business from an accredited institution
3–5 years of relevant experience, including hands-on work with computerized general ledgers and federal/state reporting requirements—or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with SAP is a plus
Tax-related qualifications or experience are considered an advantage
