Job Description:

We are seeking a highly-motivated and adaptable accountant to join our Finance team, to contribute to building a company on a strong foundation of financial processes and workflows to support the mission. Job Responsibility:

Digging into the data, preparing detailed financial reports and schedules in accordance with US GAAP to support accounting close activities critical to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
Supporting the broader finance team by providing financial data and granular reporting to meet tax compliance and management forecasting needs
Participating in the maintenance of internal accounting controls as they relate to overall financial reporting in compliance with SOX regulations
Fulfilling internal and external auditor requests for period end reporting requirements
Collaborating with special projects, transactions, and general operations where necessary to support AbCellera’s goals and objectives
Providing general support to your Finance teammates as needed

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a similar role or a CPA and/or equivalent designation
Comfortable with daily use of Google Sheets and Excel
Extremely capable of navigating large datasets and proficient in advanced functions and data visualizations
Team player who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Impeccable attention to detail
Able to work independently, and demonstrate initiative and accountability
Think critically and show great judgment in your decision-making process
