We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is ideal for someone who is attentive to detail and excels in financial management and accounting practices within the manufacturing industry. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while contributing to essential accounting operations. Oracle experience a must.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial data
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure all entries are correctly documented
Prepare and post journal entries while adhering to accounting standards and company policies
Conduct account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial statements
Manage bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly
Collaborate with team members to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency
Analyze financial data to support decision-making and reporting requirements
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably within the manufacturing industry
Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and financial reporting
Proficiency in managing general ledger and journal entry preparation
Expertise in account and bank reconciliations
Familiarity with accounting standards and regulations
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and organizational skills
