Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Gardena, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting financial analysis. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Job Responsibility:

Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
Calculate and track monthly commissions, royalties, and sales rebate expenses to ensure accurate reporting
Perform reconciliations of royalty income and other financial accounts
Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing journal entries and reviewing financial statements
Conduct detailed analyses of financial statements on a monthly basis to identify trends and discrepancies
Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with organizational accounting standards
Supervise and mentor accounting team members to maintain efficiency and accuracy in operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting issues and improve processes

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 4-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a mid-sized company with revenue exceeding $15 million
At least 2 years of supervisory experience, managing a team of 2-3 individuals
Proficient in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks
Strong expertise in month-end close processes, journal entries, and general ledger management
Solid skills in account and bank reconciliations
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
