Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our client's dynamic finance team in the King of Prussia area, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be responsible for managing full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of real estate properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with leadership and contribute to operational efficiency and business growth.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the monthly close process, including preparing bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and conducting financial analysis
Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure accurate and compliant accounting records
Prepare, review, and deliver financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules to management
Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data, ensuring accuracy and reliability
Collaborate with FP&A and operations teams to provide insights for budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
Monitor operational metrics such as collections, payroll, and vendor activity to identify trends and improve efficiency
Assist with audit requests, tax file preparation, and special financial projects as needed
Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, workflows, and documentation
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and effective financial operations
Analyze data to support strategic decision-making and business objectives

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead role
Proficiency in month-end close procedures and general ledger management
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with non-finance stakeholders
Self-motivated and capable of adapting to a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

Public accounting or multi-entity experience is advantageous
Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software preferred
Familiarity with commercial real estate accounting practices is highly desirable
