Job Description:

Recruiting to fill a Senior Accountant role for an operational accounting team in Reno for an international, publicly traded company with robust assets. The candidate will work with large data sets in fixed assets and intercompany transactions and work closely with non-accounting professionals.

Job Responsibility:

Work with large data sets in fixed assets and intercompany transactions
Work closely with non-accounting professionals in operations and other departments to understand and account for assets in multiple US and foreign entities
Preparation and review of flux analyses, lead, and roll-forward schedules for assigned entities as they pertain to the quarter-end reviews and year-end audits
Maintains general ledger in accordance with GAAP guidelines for all US entities and through consolidation
Assist in the review/preparation of financial statements for all necessary entities
Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the US Controller's attention
Reconciles intercompany balances, where applicable, for all entities
Maintains contact and positive interaction with accountants/admin at the foreign and domestic plants
Maintains SOX controls as stated in internal procedures
Reconciles subsidiary ledgers in SAP (i.e. AP, AR, Cash modules)

Requirements:

BS Degree in Accounting from a respected institution
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience (large company a significant preference)
Intermediate Excel skills are a must (pivot tables and Look Ups)
Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and general ledger tasks
Strong knowledge of intercompany transactions and fixed asset accounting
Expertise in financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Advanced skills in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Experience with a large ERP system, such as SAP, strongly preferred
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams

Nice to have:

Experience in public accounting or a Masters in Accounting
