Job Description

This is a Contract to permanent position within the insurance industry, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute your accounting expertise while advancing your career. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial processes to support various accounting operations effectively.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist accounting staff with daily activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare and upload reports to financial platforms
  • Handle tax deposits, transfer requests, and manage voided transactions in accounting systems
  • Prepare annual reports for external auditors and support year-end tax reporting
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations and entries along with annual reconciliations
  • Provide support for internal audits, addressing inquiries related to monthly close reporting
  • Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a detail-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in month-end close procedures and financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entries
  • Expertise in account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations
  • Ability to prepare accurate tax deposits and year-end tax reports
  • Experience with external audits
  • Skilled in handling reconciliations
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate across departments
