Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will take on a leadership position within the Finance & Accounting department, focusing on key areas such as incentive compensation, corporate and real estate taxes, and enterprise risk management. This position offers a dynamic environment with opportunities to collaborate across functions and engage with senior leadership.

Job Responsibility:

Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
Oversee general ledger maintenance and perform detailed account reconciliations
Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support incentive compensation processes and calculations
Assist in the preparation and review of corporate and real estate tax filings
Contribute to enterprise risk management initiatives by identifying and mitigating financial risks
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis
Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes and systems

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting roles, with a strong foundation in financial principles
Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and general ledger activities
Demonstrated experience in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
Familiarity with corporate tax regulations and financial reporting standards
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and present to leadership
High level of attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
