Job Description

Emerging client within the Healthcare Industry is in need of a Senior Accountant with strong general ledger and inventory expertise. As the Senior Accountant, you will oversee the general ledger system, assist with preparing accruals, support inventory cycles, prepare annual tax filings, complete bank reconciliations, draft financial reports, coordinate the month end/year end close prepare data for monthly journal entries, assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliation, perform account reconciliations, assist with the annual audit process, maintain financial records, and perform financial analysis as needed.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as part of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Support inventory accounting activities, including inventory valuation, reconciliations, and analysis of inventory transactions
  • Partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of inventory movements and costs
  • Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and preparation of supporting schedules
  • Maintain and improve accounting procedures and internal controls to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests
  • Utilize ERP systems and advanced Excel functions to analyze financial data and streamline reporting processes

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 5+ years of corporate accounting experience, some public accounting ideal
  • MUST have INVENTORY experience
  • Advanced proficiency MS Excel and larger ERP experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
