Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Napa, California. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health and accuracy of a dynamic wine organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing financial records and processes.

Job Responsibility:

Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies
Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and address discrepancies promptly
Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records of transactions
Manage the general ledger and ensure entries are properly recorded
Prepare and post journal entries to support month-end and year-end closing processes
Collaborate with team members to complete month-end close procedures efficiently
Utilize NetSuite and other accounting software to manage financial data effectively
Analyze financial statements and provide insights to support decision-making
Develop and implement process improvements for accounting tasks
Assist in audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the wine industry
Proficiency in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations
Strong knowledge of general ledger operations and journal entries
Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
