Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing healthcare organization in Encinitas. This role will support financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and accounting operations across multiple departments. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and capable of managing both routine accounting responsibilities and higher-level financial projects in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review journal entries and general ledger activity
Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis
Maintain organized accounting documentation and audit support files
Partner with leadership on budgeting and reporting requests
Monitor financial data for discrepancies and reporting accuracy
Support process improvements and accounting workflow efficiencies

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
4+ years of accounting experience required
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting processes
Healthcare or multi-entity accounting experience is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
Experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP systems preferred
