Job Description:

We are looking for a hands-on experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will manage the full-cycle accounting for a group of related entities. In addition, each entity operates with different processes, and this role will play a key part in streamlining and standardizing accounting processes and systems across all companies.

Job Responsibility:

Manage full-cycle accounting for three entities, including a nightclub
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for each entity
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and review financial statements for all entities
Manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations
Record revenue, expenses, journal entries, and intercompany transactions
Process accounts payable and ensure payments are timely (Bill.com)
Process payroll for approx. 70 employees and handle payroll entries and related reconciliations
Evaluate existing accounting systems and processes across entities and lead efforts to streamline and standardize them
Partner with ownership to implement a unified accounting system and consistent reporting structure
Prepare and file sales & use tax and other business taxes as needed
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax and regulatory requirements
Coordinate with external CPAs, auditors, and tax preparers
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed
Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiencies

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA designation is required
5+ years of accounting experience, including payroll
Experience managing multiple entities
Strong understanding of GAAP
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel

Nice to have:

Experience in hospitality or nightclub accounting is a plus
Experience with business and corporate tax preferred
