Job Responsibility:
Perform monthly close activities including but not limited to: Prepare monthly financial reporting package to executive management
Work directly with the shared service center to manage and coordinate corporate month end close
Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries and account recs for the corporate general ledger
Field questions/support business unit finance leads with close and consolidation questions
Accounting and disclosure responsibility for and/or involvement in the following areas: Share-based compensation
Derivatives and hedging (Fx and interest rate swaps)
LIFO inventory
Self-insurance reserves
Debt covenant calculations
Pension
Goodwill and intangible asset impairment analysis
Acquisition accounting
Maintain and update the company’s accounting policies specific to the above areas
Assist in coordinating and developing training materials for quarterly global accounting and finance updates
Requirements:
Minimum 2-5 years’ experience, preferably with public accounting experience
CPA or working towards obtaining their CPA
Knowledge in consolidation and reporting systems Hyperion and/or Workiva is a plus
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles and internal controls
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask, while maintaining attention to detail
Proactive self-starter who seeks new challenges and continuous improvement opportunities
Ability to learn quickly and willingness to dive into new areas
Nice to have:
Knowledge in consolidation and reporting systems Hyperion and/or Workiva is a plus
