Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Savannah, Georgia. In this role, you will oversee key accounting processes, including month-end close activities, reconciliations, and revenue accruals, ensuring compliance with financial standards and accuracy. This position is ideal for an experienced individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and possesses strong analytical and organizational skills.

Job Responsibility:

Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, identifying and resolving discrepancies
Prepare and post journal entries to support financial transactions
Conduct account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to ensure accuracy
Analyze revenue accruals and create detailed budget-to-actual schedules
Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities to streamline accounting procedures
Work with accounting software such as NetSuite, Tyler Technologies Munis, and QuickBooks Online
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making and reporting
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Provide recommendations to improve efficiency in accounting workflows

Requirements:

Proven experience in managing month-end close processes
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation
Expertise in performing account and bank reconciliations
Proficiency in revenue accounting and accruals
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis
Familiarity with accounting systems like NetSuite, Tyler Technologies Munis, and QuickBooks Online
Excellent analytical and organizational abilities
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
