Job Description:

A healthcare organization in Vista is seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Senior Accountant to oversee complex accounting functions and support financial reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of GAAP, healthcare accounting practices, and month-end close processes. The Senior Accountant will partner closely with leadership to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Job Responsibility:

Lead month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Analyze financial statements and investigate variances
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
Assist with audits and regulatory reporting
Support budgeting and forecasting efforts
Mentor junior accounting staff
Improve accounting processes and documentation

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting skills
Experience in healthcare or regulated industries preferred
Advanced Excel skills
