Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing organization in Cardiff-by-the-Sea. This position will play a key role in supporting month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and overall accounting operations. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment where accuracy and accountability are highly valued. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys balancing day-to-day accounting responsibilities with process improvement initiatives and financial analysis.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review journal entries and general ledger activity
Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Assist with preparation of financial statements and reporting packages
Analyze financial data and investigate account discrepancies
Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation activities
Support process improvements and accounting workflow efficiencies
Collaborate with internal departments on financial reporting needs

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
4+ years of progressive accounting experience required
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting processes
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities effectively
