Our client, a leading non-profit organization, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional passionate about mission-driven work to support impactful programs and maintain financial integrity.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee monthly and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with non-profit accounting standards
Prepare and review financial statements and reports for leadership and external stakeholders
Maintain general ledger activities and support grant and fund accounting, including tracking restricted funds and donor grants
Collaborate closely with program and development teams to monitor budgets, analyze variances, and ensure responsible stewardship of resources
Manage and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
Support audit activities, provide documentation, and ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations relevant to non-profit entities
Identify process improvements and help implement new financial systems or procedures as needed
Mentor junior accounting staff and assist in their professional development

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or relevant certification preferred
4+ years of accounting experience
at least 2 years in non-profit sector strongly desired
Proficient with accounting software (such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct) and MS Excel
Strong understanding of GAAP, non-profit accounting, and fund/grant management
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to the non-profit mission and values
