Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Stuart, Florida. This role is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in financial reporting, reconciliations, and acquisition-related activities. You will play a key role in supporting the Corporate Controller and ensuring accurate financial operations in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility:

Handle month-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts
Perform account and bank reconciliations to ensure compliance and accuracy
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audit documentation
Support post-closing activities related to acquisitions, including integration and reconciliations
Collaborate with private equity stakeholders to address reporting requirements and financial demands
Manage purchase accounting tasks and provide insights into acquisition-related adjustments
Utilize QuickBooks software for accounting tasks and assist in transitioning to larger accounting systems
Coordinate effectively with remote team members and ensure seamless communication
Provide onsite support during the initial month to facilitate onboarding and collaboration

Requirements:

Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with a focus on month-end close and financial reporting
Strong knowledge of general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes
Experience in acquisition integration and purchase accounting is highly desirable
Familiarity with QuickBooks and an ability to adapt to new accounting systems
Background in working with private equity ownership and meeting high-level demands
Proven ability to work collaboratively with both onsite and remote teams
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex financial processes
