Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our client in the Financial Services industry, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will have a significant impact in maintaining and analyzing our financial records, ensuring accurate and efficient processing, and taking part in local and global projects.

Job Responsibility:

Carry out monthly, which includes tasks like bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
Oversee the preparation of monthly account reconciliations, perform analysis for internal users, and manage cash transaction journal entries
Take an active role in coordinating the annual financial audit and the preparation of financial statements
Communicate effectively with Auditors to resolve technical accounting issues
Contribute to projects or initiatives when required, such as enhancements or implementations of accounting systems
Expand your role cross-functionally within the Finance team, gaining exposure to other accounting areas
Utilize software like Microsoft Excel for various tasks and reporting needs
Ensure the completion of balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close activities
Prepare financial reports and handle consolidations as required
Be involved in the preparation of financial statements

Requirements:

Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accountant role
Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required
Applicant must have hands-on experience with General Ledger management
Ability to accurately prepare and manage Journal Entries is essential
The candidate should have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Experience in the Month End Close process is required
Applicant must possess skills in Financial Reporting
Proficiency in Financial Statement Preparation is a must
