Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in financial reporting and reconciliation processes. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounting records.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes
Analyze financial data and trends to support strategic decision making
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation
Support internal controls and recommend process improvements

Requirements:

Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
Ability to manage and interpret complex financial data
Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
Proficiency leading month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes
Knowledge of GAAP and internal accounting policies
Experience supporting audits and coordinating with external auditors
Ability to assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Understanding of internal controls and ability to recommend process improvements
Experience mentoring or guiding other accounting staff
Strong communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration
