Job Responsibility

  • Break down complex financial and technical concepts into clear, accessible insights that resonate with various stakeholders
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting close deliverables with speed and precision
  • Support our quarterly and annual regulatory financial reporting requirements
  • Craft frameworks that monitor results, analyze business drivers, and spotlight key insights
  • Partner with teams across Shopify to: help build integrations for seamless information flow while ensuring we are accounting for new products or changes appropriately
  • dive deep into our business processes to transform and automate

Requirements

  • CPA designation with over 5 years of professional accounting and/or auditing experience
  • The ability to analyze and communicate financial data, unveiling the 'story behind the numbers.'
  • Proven track record of driving significant impact in complex business scenarios
  • A mindset to embrace AI and new technologies to enhance financial reporting and decision-making
  • Strong understanding of SQL to write queries while ensuring data integrity
  • Adaptability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and navigate change with confidence
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with experience working cross-functionally

Experience in transforming or automating processes is a plus
