Amanda Warren is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant/Property Accountant to join a growing property management team in Redding, California. This role is ideal for a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual with a background in property accounting and proficiency in Yardi systems. The position offers an opportunity to manage financial operations across diverse real estate portfolios, ensuring accuracy and compliance while collaborating with key stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Handle full-cycle accounting processes for multiple residential and commercial properties
  • Prepare detailed monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
  • Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts and general ledgers while performing variance analyses
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Review and post tenant charges, rent rolls, lease abstracts, and reconciliations
  • Monitor property budgets and contribute to the preparation of annual budgets
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with property management teams and leadership to address and resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Generate custom financial reports and maintain data integrity within Yardi Voyager or Breeze systems
  • Assist in year-end audits and tax preparation processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of property accounting experience, preferably in residential or commercial real estate
  • Advanced proficiency in Yardi systems, such as Voyager or Breeze
  • Expertise in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and journal entries
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and property-level accounting standards
  • Exceptional Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including non-financial teams
