Job Description

Our client, a leading global technology organisation, is seeking a Senior Accountant, (specialising in International Financial Reporting) to join a high‑performing international finance team. This is a 12‑month, extendable contract role, working in a team of 3 peer-level senior accountants. This role is suited to an experienced Senior International Accountant with expertise in international Financial Reporting, strong IFRS (or US GAAP) and international statutory reporting experience, who enjoys accountability and ownership of Financial Reporting for a number of international entities, technical accounting and engagement with key global stakeholders.

Job Responsibility

  • Support monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes for multiple international entities
  • Prepare and support statutory financial statements across international jurisdictions
  • Coordinate and support external statutory audits, including audit schedules and responses
  • Own and manage balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring completeness and timely resolution
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS (and/or US GAAP), local statutory requirements, and internal controls
  • Maintain and enhance process documentation, close controls and reporting support files
  • Partner with Tax, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, and external advisors
  • Identify and drive process improvement initiatives within international reporting

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6+ years' experience in Financial Accounting and International Financial Reporting
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS and/or (US) GAAP
  • You must have Financial Reporting experience with exposure to international entities across EMEA and/or APAC
  • Proven experience across general ledger, month‑end close and statutory financial reporting requirements
  • Experience supporting external audits
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a global, fast‑paced, remote environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner cross‑functionally
  • Professionally qualified accountant (or actively pursuing qualification)
  • Experience using ERP systems (e.g. Oracle Fusion or similar)
  • Experience in a public company or SOX-controlled environment is advantageous
