Senior Accountant for R2R Netherlands

• Ensure accurate and timely complex accounting and reporting in accordance with Group deadlines and guidelines for Business unit results on monthly, quarterly and year end basis
• Manage operational issues, resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities faced in accounting and reporting area
• Quality review of other employee work
• Ensure close dialogue with Business unit and various stakeholders in Europe and North America
• Ensure compliance of internal controls in accordance with the Group’s guidelines
• Have a deep understanding of retail industry from accounting/ reporting angle
• Participate in challenging improvement projects in accounting/ reporting area

• Strong analytical and accounting skills
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Strong process analytical skills and process improvement capabilities
• Ability to work in a changing environment
• Good computer skills and general accounting system background (Oracle JDE and Longview is an advantage)
• Fluent English language skills
• University degree in economics, finance, accounting, mathematics or similar. Accounting specialization is preferred
• Solid experience (3+ years) in accounting or audit field, preferably within an international work environment
• ACCA certificate or started ACCA studies is considered as an asset
