Job Description

The Senior Accountant plays a pivotal role in maintaining and managing the financial health of the organization. This position involves overseeing various financial activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, analyzing data, and providing strategic insights to support informed decision-making. The Senior Accountant collaborates with cross-functional departments to streamline processes and maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Reconcile accounts, review journal entries, and adjust discrepancies as necessary
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and financial forecasts
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and relevant laws
  • Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and recommend solutions for improvement
  • Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits
  • Assist in special projects and initiatives requiring financial expertise
  • Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to manage financial data, create reports, and streamline processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA is a plus)
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting or financial management roles
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP financial reporting, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in financial analysis
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, heavy focus on MS Excel intermediate to advance knowledge is required
