Job Description

Oxford PharmaGenesis is looking for a Senior Account Director to lead and motivate colleagues, supporting them to deliver an effective, innovative and efficient service to our clients. This role requires occasional travel to the USA and Europe.

Job Responsibility

  • lead and motivate colleagues, supporting them to deliver an effective, innovative and efficient service to our clients
  • lead a large account that involves medical affairs, publications and above-brand projects
  • work closely with the Communications Team Leader to provide day-to-day leadership of these accounts
  • oversee tactical plans and act as a key point of contact within the company
  • be responsible for the growth of our business, securing new opportunities and expanding the team’s portfolio
  • accurate forecasting, budgeting and resource allocation
  • ensure commercial effectiveness by overseeing the team’s client services to support sustainable growth
  • help to maintain operational excellence by supporting team development through mentoring and coaching colleagues

Requirements

  • significant experience in medical communications and publications account management
  • a proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering strategic guidance and driving account growth
  • extensive leadership experience, including mentoring and coaching colleagues to achieve excellence and commercial success
  • expertise in identifying and developing new business opportunities, including leading pitches
  • strong financial acumen, with experience of reviewing account performance, budgeting and maximizing profitability
  • an in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical and medical communications industries, with the ability to anticipate trends and to implement strategic changes
