Job Description:

Location: Erie 1 BOCES Finance Services E1B Education Campus West Seneca, NY. Hours: 8:00AM - 4:00PM.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepares participation forms, enters participation, and balances participation for new year services
  • Ensures WinCap pricing agrees to service directory pricing prior to initiating participation
  • Prepares AS-7 contracts for participation to school districts, non-components and BOCES
  • Assists in preparing SBM-4 and SA-111 reports
  • Generates, mails and files monthly and special billing to components, non components and other BOCES. Prepares other miscellaneous billing
  • Prepares revenue reports for School District Treasurer and division directors
  • Enters changes in participation for both component and non-component districts
  • Assists in year-end cross contract, revenue, and budget balancing
  • Reviews, reconciles and processes invoices from other BOCES, ensuring component districts are properly billed for cross-contract services
  • Processes and pays component and other BOCES for services and/or state aid and surplus
  • Prepares budget amendments for cross contract services
  • Process, pays and reconciles capital invoices
  • Reconciles capital project expenses to capital budget and/or contract
  • Responses to queries from customers, divisions and finance staff regarding participation, billing, and payments made
  • Maintains participation and billing records for services provided to components, non-components and other BOCES
  • Maintains files for accounting records
  • Other duties as assigned by the School District Treasurer

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered two (2) year college or university with an Associates Degree in Accounting or Business and one (1) year experience in the maintaining of financial records
  • Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and three (3) years experience in the compilation and maintenance of financial records
  • Seven (7) years experience in the compilation and maintenance of financial records
  • An equal combination of training and experience as defined by the limit of (A), (B) and (C)
