SEND Teaching Assistants Wanted - North Manchester Primary Schools! We're seeking enthusiastic and committed SEND Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant primary school communities across the North Manchester area. Job Responsibility:
Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND in primary classrooms, under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO
Assisting with the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
Supporting pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development within the primary curriculum
Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Assisting with classroom management and supporting positive behaviour strategies
Liaising with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for pupils
Preparing and adapting learning resources to meet individual needs
Requirements:
A minimum of 3-6 months of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in UK primary school settings
A willingness to attend and complete Team Teach training (provided as part of your induction if not already held)
A dedicated and reliable individual looking for full-time, long-term work
Ability to commit to full-time hours, typically 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, during term time
A genuine desire to support primary school children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning difficulties, and behavioural needs
Patience, empathy, excellent communication skills, adaptability, resilience, and a positive attitude
